CES/KES Ice Cream Fundraiser with Merry Dairy
 June 6th - 22, 2022

The Castlefrank and Katimavick school councils are excited to announce the final restaurant fundraiser of the year! This month, we are teaming up with The Merry Dairy for a delicious treat that also supports our schools. It’s a win-win!

From June 6th to 22nd, order a pint (or more) of Merry Dairy ice cream using the CES/KES FUNDRAISING LINK and $2 from each pint sold will be donated back to our schools. There are dairy, vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free options available and all ice cream products are peanut, tree nut, and sesame free.

Bonus! Pick up your ice cream pints directly from the Merry Dairy truck in the Castlefrank School parking lot on Friday June 24th from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Ice cream cones will also be available for sale. Can’t make it that day? Your ice cream pints can also be picked up directly from the Merry Dairy or delivered for FREE with a minimum $40 purchase. Visit the website for more details.

Virtual Family Science Night

You’re invited to participate in this fun, hands-on virtual STEM workshop, from your home!

Featured Workshop: Spread Your Wings

Humans have always been fascinated by flight. Come and explore the wonderful world of birds and other things that fly. Make a birdfeeder; fly a glider; and explore how a taketombo works. We will wing our way through the sky.

Date(s): May 25
Time(s): 6pm – 7pm or 7:30pm – 8:30pm (chose one or the other)
Registration: until May 9 noon

We will be able to accommodate 30 families per time slot and each family can register multiple children. Although the sessions are virtual, each child will receive a kit to make it a hands-on experience.
In the event that a time slot is full, you have the option to attend the other time slot. You specify this at the time of registration.

KES/CES: Takeout Night Fundraiser
Monday March 28th AND Tuesday March 29th

Anyone ready for PIZZA??

Castlefrank and Katimavik School Councils will be hosting our March fundraiser Pizza nights with Lorenzo’s Pizza on Monday March 28th AND Tuesday March 29th. Yes, you read that correctly! Another 2-day event!

Lorenzo’s Pizza located at 100 Castlefrank Rd is generously donating 20% of the proceeds from all of our orders to help us with our school fundraising initiatives!

Orders can be placed between 11am and 10pm for both days by phone or online through their website. 

UberEats and Skipthedishes are NOT included in the fundraiser.

They highly recommend to pre-order as high volume orders can cause wait times. When calling, (613) 836-3311, please let them know the order is part of the school fundraiser. Greek on Wheels Restaurant Fundraiser
Tuesday Feb 15 and Wednesday Feb 16th

The CES and KES councils are excited to announce the location of February’s 2-day restaurant fundraiser… Greek on Wheels Kanata!

Place an order with Greek on Wheels (444 Hazeldean Rd) on Tuesday February 15 or Wednesday February 16th and a portion of every order will be donated to our school councils. A delicious meal and support for our schools – it’s a win-win!

Place your order by phone at (613) 836-5757 or walk in. Make sure you mention the fundraiser when you are placing your order! Same day pre-orders are welcome.

Offer does not apply to third-party apps such as Uber Eats or Skip the Dishes, however in-house delivery options are available.

STREATS KANATA Kitchen Restaurant Fundraiser
Wednesday Jan 19th

Need to get over those hump day blues? Haven’t had enough from taco Tuesday? Join us on Wednesday Jan 19th and order dinner out from STREATS in Kanata! Funds raised are split between KES and CES.
Families can order online, by phone, or walk in. There is a promo code in the flyer for anyone who orders online, or they can simply mention the code when they place the order. Cannot be used with 3rd party delivery services (Skip the Dishes, UberEats, etc). The Voucher code is ABC123. Thank you for your support!


POPCORN SALES ARE OPEN!!!!!!

Popcorn Days are Back at Katimavik!!! ORDERS DUE November 30, 2021

KES School Council is excited to be able to offer Kernel’s Popcorn once again! Popcorn will be served on two Fridays each month, during the second nutrition break, in a fully sealed packaged bag that will be quarantined at the school prior to distribution. If Friday is a holiday, popcorn will be served on the Thursday prior, and if your child is absent on popcorn day, it will be held in the classroom for their return. Some of the popcorn days will coincide with the School Spirit days.

The cost per bag of popcorn is $2.50 and funds raised will help pay for projects, programs, and experiences that Council funds. Last year School Council was able to support virtual workshops from Scientists in School, Luv to Groove, Get Real and Coding with Stem Mind Corp. Please note that extra bags of popcorn will NOT be available on Popcorn/Spirit Days.

Reminder School Cash Online for Popcorn Sales
A reminder from your School Council to sign up for School Cash Online if you’d like your child(ren) to have an opportunity to enjoy our popcorn program this year. You can create your account through this link. Popcorn sales will begin later this month. More information will be coming soon.


KES/CES Joint Milano’s Pizzeria Fundraiser

On Tuesday November 16th, Milano’s Pizzeria located at 471 Hazeldean Road will be hosting our two schools for a night off from cooking!

Not only will you be enjoying delicious pizza, but Milano’s will also be generously donating 15% of your purchase price back to the CES/KES School Councils fundraising efforts. Every purchase brings us closer to our initiative goals at each school.
