Principal's Message to the Community
It is a pleasure and an honour to be your school principal and be serving the students and families in Kanata. I grew up in Kanata North, went to school in Beaverbrook and began my career as a teacher in Kanata as well. My family and I settled in Kanata and my son attended Katimavik so this feels like home.
The best part of my days are when I get to spend time with the young people in my building. It brings me great joy to watch them discover new things, see them delve deeper into subjects and listen and engage with them directly. As parents/guardians, when students develop new learning paths in their brains each day, I hope that you too get an opportunity to see and hear all the wonderful connections they are making at Katimavik. I encourage you to ask questions of your student(s) and engage with them about their learning. Should you have questions on how to do that, reach out to us as your education partners and we will be happy to help.
